Be the first on your block to join the vinyl resurgence with a Pro-Ject Audio turntable! They’re available in a variety of designs and colors, with or without USB connectivity. The Debut Carbon series, for example, comes in black, blue, green, purple, red, silver, white, and yellow. It features an 8.6" carbon tone arm, which is designed with enhanced stiffness to reduce unwanted resonance. It includes the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge, which uses a polished, tipped Elliptical diamond and is designed for enhanced sound accuracy.
The Essential II is available in black, red, and white versions and is equipped with an 8.6" tonearm, made from a single piece of aluminum with sapphire bearings. The main chassis is composed of stiff particle board designed to be lightweight yet sturdy. Its main platter bearing has a stainless-steel spindle with a bronze bushing and a Teflon bottom to reduce friction.
The RPM 1 Carbon is the most uniquely designed model of the bunch. Offered in black, red, or white, this series features a minimalistic design with an 8.6" S-shaped tonearm made from carbon fiber, aluminum, and resin for enhanced rigidity and internal damping with reduced resonance. The chassis is designed for low resonance, with an inverted platter bearing and a ceramic ball for minimized rumble. Its motor has increased speed stability, thanks to its outboard placement and enhanced-precision generator.
The Essential II is available in black, red, and white versions that feature a USB output to connect to your computer, while the Debut Carbon can be purchased in a black version that also sports USB connectivity. You can use this along with separately available software (both free and paid options are offered) to digitally store your records as MP3s. So, whether you’re specifically looking to digitize your vinyl collection or simply listen to those records you haven’t heard in years, B&H has a multitude of options from Pro-Ject and other brands to choose from.
