ViewSonic LightStream Projectors: Flooding the Market with Brightness!

Available at B&H, ViewSonic has released its new lineup of LightStream projectors. They all feature a six-segment color wheel for enhanced color accuracy, and at more than 3000 lumens each, they can produce bright images to overcome a variety of lighting conditions. Their 22,000:1 contrast ratio will provide the dark shadows and bright whites required to see clear detail, whether you’re watching your favorite character traverse a dark tunnel or a bright field. These projectors are also wireless-streaming-ready, thanks to their PortAll compartment, an enclosed HDMI/MHL connection for wireless HDMI dongles or MHL connectors.

The LightStream models vary in resolution, throw ratio, and brightness. The PJD6252L has 1024 x 768 resolution with a 1.95 to 2.15:1 throw ratio and 3300 lumens of brightness for use in moderately bright, long-throw installations. The PJD6352, which is available in black or white, has the same 1024 x 768 resolution with a 1.51 to 1.97 throw ratio and 3500 lumens of brightness, gearing it more toward smaller, brighter installation areas due to its shorter throw distance and increased light output. The PJD7326 has 1024 x 768 resolution with a 1.96 to 2.15:1 throw ratio and 4000 lumens of brightness for installation in brighter rooms with a longer throw distance. The PJD7526W has more detailed, 1280 x 800 resolution with a 1.55 to 1.7:1 throw ratio and 4000 lumens of brightness, for installation in smaller bright rooms. The PJD7720 has 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 1.49 to 1.64 throw ratio and 3200 lumens of brightness for use in moderately bright rooms where detail is important. The PJD7831HDL has 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 1.15 to 1.5:1 throw ratio and 3200 lumens of brightness for detailed images in smaller rooms. And, the PJD7836HDL has the same 1920 x 1080 resolution and 1.15 to 1.5:1 throw ratio with 3500 lumens of brightness for detailed images in rooms with more ambient light.

With so many options available, ViewSonic’s LightStream product line almost certainly has a projector suitable for use in nearly any non-short-throw installation. While conference rooms may be the most obvious candidate, any long room can be called home by one of these models.
