If you're looking for a portable light that works in a variety of shooting situations such as a vlog, video conferencing, or run-and-gun productions, Lupo has just released the 700 Smartpanel on-camera LED light that can fit right into your indoor or outdoor shoots. The bicolor light features an adjustable color temperature range of 3200 to 5600K, to cover a wide range of tungsten and daylight locations. Its housing is made from a durable polymer, so it is protected from drops or from the wear and tear of a constantly moving production.
Made entirely in Italy, the 700 Smartpanel features a bright 4200 lux output at a distance of 3.3', which rivals larger lights such as a 1 x 1' or larger. It’s also rated with a high CRI of 96, which means the light reproduces color with great accuracy. Along with the adjustable color temperature, you can also adjust the light’s brightness using a dial to lower the light to 0 or up to 100% brightness. Measuring only 6 x 3" and weighing less than a half pound, it will fit right on top of your camera or rig without adding too much bulk.
The panel can be powered one of three ways: using its built-in L-series battery plate and a separate battery, using the included USB Type-C cable with a USB power source, or it can be powered using a separately available power adapter plugged into its barrel connector. A 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of the light provides mounting options for the light if you want to add a mount, stand, or extension arm to your setup.
