Exclusive to launch in the US at B&H and just announced at IBC 2019, Litra has just added the new LitraStudio RGBWW portable LED light and a line of accessories to its already impressive line of portable LED lighting products, which includes the tiny LitraTorch and the bi-color LitraPro. This on-camera light will please photographers and videographers with its compact form, 2400 lumens of continuous light, and 6000 lumens of flash, without any wires getting in the way.
The LitraStudio boasts a high CRI/TLCI of 97, which reflects true color accuracy while remaining flicker free at all brightness levels and shutter angles. And how about that range of colors! The RGBWW (Red/Green/Blue/Warm-White) light has a wide range of color settings among its CCT, HSI, and RGBW modes, as well as numerous presets, effects, and flash modes that can be used in any environment. The variable color temperature is adjustable from 2000 to 10000K with a green/magenta shift adjustment to accommodate blue and green screen applications. Effects such as police lights, paparazzi, or candle flicker can add character to your scene, while Gel mode sets your temperature to match similar common daylight or tungsten lighting. It also features camera flash sync in Flash mode, and HSI mode allows you to have fine control over hue, saturation, and color intensity. The LitraStudio is also dimmable with a 50° beam angle and can be used with various optional grids, softboxes, and barndoors to further modify light output.
The LitraStudio also features camera Flash sync mode, which enables a 6000-lumen flash using the Flash Sync Cable that connects the LitraStudio to your camera's sync port. HSI mode allows you to have fine control over hue, saturation, and color intensity. The LitraStudio is also dimmable with a 50° beam angle and can be used with the Light Modification Kit, which includes a Studio Softbox, a diffuser, a set of barndoors, and a honeycomb grid to further modify light output. The kit also comes with a carry bag for easy transport. Each LitraStudio comes with a soft, Silicon Diffuser for a gentler light output.
Another advantage of the LitraStudio is that it's Bluetooth-enabled, so it can either be controlled locally via its OLED display or wirelessly with the Litra app for iOS or Android. The app allows you to control multiple lights at once and control all the settings and presets. It's also a sturdy workhorse because it's constructed with durable aluminum, it's waterproof up to 30', it has a built-in 9000mAh battery that lasts up to 20 hours, and it has no fans and operates in silence. The battery features an LED level indicator and is charged via the included USB type-C cable and Quick Charger, taking less than 1.5 hours to fully charge. You can also charge other accessories such as a smartphone with its USB power output. Available accessories also include a DMX dongle, which connects a DMX to the LitraStudio's USB Type-C port and allows you to control the light via DMX, as well as daisy-chain multiple LitraStudio units.
