Building on the success of the Evoke 1200, Nanlux has announced a bi-color alternative to the popular daylight LED: the Evoke 1200B. With a CCT range of 2700-6500K and a maximum output of 61,030 lux at 3m, the new light is ideal for productions that require the concentrated power of a spotlight and the versatility of a bi-color LED.
The Evoke 1200B utilizes two 1200W LED chips arranged in a dot-matrix design to provide output comparable to a 2500W HMI. Full dimming is possible in 0.1% increments and five dimming curves are accessible via DMX. Flicker-free output enables high-speed shooting while CCT tuning is free of intensity shift across its range.
Adjustments can be made on-unit via a 2.8" display and has a similar layout to existing Nanlux and Nanlite fixtures. Evoke lights also support onboard DMX/RDM and wireless control via an included 2.4G direct remote, LumenRadio, or Nanlink app. Firmware updates are accessible via an included USB drive.
Designed to withstand the rigors of outdoor set use, the 1200B is IP54 certified, with each part of its build hermetically sealed to protect against damage. Four fan operation modes keep the unit cool in any environment, extending LED lifespan and promising safe operation. The 1200B’s aluminum housing keeps its weight down to 17 lb for easy transport compared to lights of similar power.
A quick-release super clamp is included to secure the 1200B’s power supply to a stand or truss on set and an offset yoke provides 15 degrees of tilt for flexible adjustment when using modifiers. A 45-degree reflector is included with the light to provide direction and control spill. The 1200B is available by itself or paired with a trolley case or road case (with or without a Fresnel lens).
