Lexar will be launching its new CFexpress Type B Card GOLD Series this month. Geared toward professional videographers looking to get the most out of their cameras, the cards are equipped with read speeds up to 1900 MB/s and write speeds up to 1500 MB/s. They also come standard with a minimum 1300 MB/s of sustained write speeds, ensuring you will be able to capture up to 8K video with ease and without fear of dropping frames. Lexar's cards are rugged and durable, with added protection against extreme temperatures, shock, and vibration. Additionally, they are certified by RED to work with its cinema cameras.
Lexar also has plans to launch its CFexpress Type B DIAMOND Series this month, as well. This card is VPG400 compatible and is the highest capacity offered in the CF Express DIAMOND series product line. It will feature read speeds of up to 1900 MB/s and write speeds of 1700 MB/s with a minimum sustained write speed of 1600 MB/s. Expect to be able to capture smooth RAW 8K video with ease. The cards are also backward compatible with certain XQD cameras.
The CFexpress Type B GOLD Series cards will be available starting mid-February in 1TB or 2TB capacities and the DIAMOND Series cards will release around the same time in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities.
