Teradek is rolling out new RT FIZ Wireless Lens Control Kits that feature the upgraded CTRL.5 Wireless Lens Controller, which helps you facilitate precise focus, iris, and zoom maneuvers. Along with the CTRL.5 unit, both of the new kits include the upgraded MOTR.S Max Lens Motor. Where the two kits differ is the choice of Bluetooth receiver units.
One of the two kits includes the MDR.X 3-Channel Lens Control Receiver with two auxiliary control ports for hardwired control and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless communication. Additional connectivity includes three motor ports, one camera output for RED DSMC2 camera control. This receiver has an integrated OLED display for easy configuration of your device settings.
The other kit includes the MDR.S Compact 3-Channel Lens Control Receiver, which boasts a significantly smaller form factor than the MDR.X. It has only four input ports—one for camera control, one for motor connection, one USB-C, and one for power. The unit also features an OLED display and onboard button controls.
The main attraction of the kits is the new CTRL.5 3-Axis Wireless Lens Controller with enhanced 5” touchscreen display and customizable onboard controls. CTRL.OS provides the CTRL.5 with an expandable optics library capable of compiling real-time data from connected devices and sync to a cloud library. You can also control RED, ARRI, Sony, and other major camera brands.
