From budget-friendly to flagship, the BRAVIA 2 II, BRAVIA 5, and BRAVIA 8 II sets come equipped with Sony’s latest XR processing technology that utilizes AI to help improve picture quality in real-time. In addition to XR processing, all three new series of BRAVIA televisions share features meant to elevate home entertainment. Each screen has a native 4K resolution with HDR support for enhanced contrast. They also all have Google TV and Google Assistant built in. Access the Google Play store to download streaming apps from a library of over 10,000, including popular services like Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, and more. Google Assistant lets you use your voice to search for what to watch and easily manage settings. You can even stream movies from Sony’s own Sony Pictures Core and gamers can take advantage of exclusive enhancements for the PlayStation 5.

What sets each series apart is primarily their display technologies. The BRAVIA 2 II uses a bright backlit LED panel to help it achieve its 4K resolution and 60 Hz refresh rate and is priced for entry-level buyers on a budget. A total of five models are on offer in sizes ranging from 43” to 75”.

BRAVIA 5 is Sony’s midrange series that takes the next step in image quality with thousands of Mini-LEDs and local dimming to create a picture that’s more true to life with incredibly vibrant colors. Another improvement is a bump in refresh rate to 120 Hz, making games and sports smoother and more enjoyable. BRAVIA 5 also has the distinction of offering Sony’s largest TV at a jaw-dropping 98”. In total, five models from 55” to 98” are now available.

Last but not least is the BRAVIA 8 II, Sony’s flagship OLED display that maximizes quality to deliver a true cinema experience to your living room. It does this by combining the pure blacks and dazzling colors of over 8 million self-lit OLED pixels with a Quantum Dot panel and XR Triluminos Max technology, displaying billions of accurate real-world colors. BRAVIA 8 II also stands out for its approach to built-in audio with Acoustic Surface Audio+, a technology that uses a pair of actuators and subwoofers that emit sound directly through the screen to match perfectly with movies and TV shows. BRAVIA 8 II is available in both 55” and 65” screen sizes.

Additional highlights of the BRAVIA 2 II, BRAVIA 5, and BRAVIA 8 II series include additional XR image processing technologies, Kids Profiles that allow parents to manage access and curate kid-friendly content, and convenient setup and TV management through a phone or tablet with the BRAVIA Connect app. The new lineup for 2025 continues Sony’s history as a leader in home entertainment, offering customers amazing quality at every price point.
