In the year since their initial release, DZOFilm’s Arles lenses have earned a lot of praise for fast apertures, large format coverage, and visual consistency across the set. Now, DZOFilm is expanding the line with a new Arles 18mm T1.4 lens, alongside a fresh six-lens kit that includes 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm lenses, all T1.4 and capable of full-frame/VistaVision coverage.
Shooters who pick up the 18mm can expect the same controlled flaring and “painterly rendering” as the rest of the set, as well as standardized gear pitch and placement. The front diameter remains 95mm, and the PL mount can still be swapped out for an EF mount. The widest lens in the set, the 14mm, is T1.9, so the 18mm is a great new option for those wanting a large field of view with a fully matched aperture.
