Godox has officially unveiled the AD100Pro II pocket flash, a successor to 2021’s popular AD100Pro. Still ultra-portable and remarkably powerful, the AD100Pro II is a 100Ws flash unit with 2.4 GHz and 433 MHz wireless functionality, a removable 3300mAh battery, color-coded group management, a redesigned cooling system, and more.
On the control side, the AD100Pro II is versatile and capable, supporting the TTL/M/Multi flash systems of major camera brands including Canon, Nikon, Sony, FUJIFILM, OM SYSTEM, Panasonic, Pentax, and Leica. Users can adjust the flash output from 1/256 to 1/1 with 0.1 step increments, and the AD100Pro II can also be used as a receiver unit for Godox triggers like the XPro II, X2T, and X3.
Godox has improved the built-in 5W LED modeling light, now allowing brightness adjustments, and included a 1/8000 sec HSS mode alongside traditional TTL support. The AD100Pro II’s removable battery promises up to 490 full-power flashes with recycle times of only 0.01-1.5 sec and USB-C PD fast charging. A charging cable and power adapter are included.
The AD100Pro II has an adjustable zoom system that goes from 28mm to 85mm, and Godox says the improved cooling system should be capable of 100 full-power consecutive flashes at 85mm. Modularity is also a priority, as the flash has new group indicator lights with sixteen color options assigned by a Group Management workflow. This is aided by an improved full-color screen and streamlined button layout.
The AD100Pro II is super portable, weighing only 1.2 lb and measuring 4.8 x 2.9 x 2.9”. The flash head has a built-in magnetic mount for Godox’s round-head accessories, and users can attach Bowens-mount modifiers with the separately available S3 bracket adapter. The AD-E2 light stand adapter is included in the box.
