CES 2026 is here and LG is kicking things off with the announcement of a new line of gaming monitors they’re calling the Ultra Gear EVO series. So far, the lineup is composed of three models—the 39GX950B, 27GM950B and 52G930B—all of which offer features like 5K resolution and AI upscaling.
The 39-inch 39GX950B (or GX9) is a 21:9 ultrawide monitor that features a 1500R curve. Per LG, it’s designed to adapt to different gaming genres via a Dual Mode that allows the monitor to switch between running at 165 Hz at the full 5K resolution or at 330 Hz at WFHD or 2560 x 1080.
Like the GX9, the 27-inch 27GM950B (or GM9) includes AI-based scene optimization and sound enhancements. The standout feature with the GM9 is the use of a new type of mini-LED designed to reduce blooming. It also includes the same dual-mode capabilities of the GX9, letting the monitor optimize depending on the game.
The 52-inch 52G930B (or G9) is an absolute unit of monitor featuring a 240 Hz refresh rate and 1000R curvature. Unique here is that it features the vertical viewing height of a standard 42-inch 12:9 display, stretching horizontally for an unconventional 12:9 aspect ratio.
