UGREEN is happy to announce its latest entries into the world of NAS with two new Thunderbolt 4-enabled enclosures, the iDXP6011 and iDXP6011 Pro. While both do offer different levels of operation, there are some commonalities between each one.
Both the iDXP6011 and iDXP6011 Pro offer support for six 2.5” or 3.5” SATA III drives, two M.2 PCIe SSD slots, 64GB of DDR5x memory, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, dual 10 GbE RJ45 networking ports, a UHS-II SDXC card reader, and one PCIe x8 expansion slot, as well as an OcuLink port so you can use external graphics cards. Additionally, there are USB 2.0 ports, and even an 8K HDMI video output, transforming these NAS units from a traditional storage enclosure into a fully operational hub for your desktop or laptop system.
The only difference between the two units is the internal CPU, which commands the overall throughput of each NAS. The standard iDXP6011 includes the Intel Core Ultra 5 125H 14-core processor, which enhances performance across the six SATA III drives (and two M.2 drives). The iDXP6011 Pro features an Intel Core Ultra 7 225H 16-core processor, which offers faster speeds.
One other glaring difference between the two is how the iDXP6011 Pro features an on-device visual display. This can tell you all sorts of important information like drive health.
