Godox is debuting its most powerful monolight strobe unit yet, the AD800Pro All-in-One Outdoor Flash. Offering studio versatility for location professionals, the unit boasts a sun-besting 800Ws output with touchscreen controls, 300 full-power flashes per charge of its removeable battery, and compatibility with Godox’s X wireless system.
Like the other members of the all-in-one, outdoor line of Godox strobes, the AD800Pro offers wide compatibility with several TTL systems including Canon, Nikon, Sony, OM SYSTEM, Panasonic, FUJIFILM, Leica, and Pentax. Users can adjust the flash output from 1/512 to 1/1 with 0.1 step increments, while triggering options include 2.4GHz Godox X system triggers like the XPro II, X2T, and the X3, alongside wired sync via a 3.5 mm PC jack and external 433 MHz receivers via USB-C.
The main character in outdoor, multilight setups, the AD800Pro is as portable as it is powerful. Weighing 7.1 lb in its monolight form factor, the light’s recycle times keep pace with professional volume demands while offering professional-grade shooting modes like high-speed sync at up to 1/8000s and the action-stopping Freeze Mode with flash durations of up to 1/35,710s.
The unit also has an impressive built-in, bi-color 40W LED modeling light that allows brightness adjustments for pre-visualization or video lighting.
Modularity and versatility remain a priority for the outdoor strobe line, as the flash includes Godox’s group indicator lights with sixteen color options assigned by a Group Management workflow. Additionally, the light’s native Bowens mount provides broad compatibility with light-shaping modifiers.
The AD800Pro’s removable battery promises up to 300 full-power flashes, with optional accessories offering continuous AC power and fast-charging. A charging cable and power adapter are included.
