Hollyland is stepping things up with the new Pyro Ultra system, wireless transmitters and receivers capable of sending low latency 4K60p video using proprietary TWiFi technology. Connect one transmitter to an unlimited number of receivers, with automatic frequency hopping and an impressive line-of-sight transmission range of 4900’.
Operating on 5 and 2.4 GHz bands, the Pyro Ultras can handle up to 4K60p via HDMI and 1080p at 60 fps via SDI. Expect robust UVC and RTMP streaming capabilities, as well as an HDMI loop-out on the Transmitter. Receivers will also automatically adjust output resolution to match the connected device. Both units have DC barrel connectors for power if you don’t want to use NP-F batteries, as well as USB-C ports for streaming. They weigh only 320g.
Focus Mode can reduce latency to as low as 20 ms for more accurate focus pulling, while Broadcast Mode allows for unlimited pairing—though Hollyland understandably suggests twenty receivers or less for the most stable performance. The Pyro Ultra products are fully compatible with the rest of the Pyro line, including the H, S, 7, 5, and the Vcore.
The Pyro line already has a strong reputation for reliable video transmission at a wallet-friendly price, and these new Pyro Ultra products take things to a more professional but still accessible level.
