Core SWX has officially unveiled their new PowerVault System, centered around a powerful and customizable Base station with five modular bays and compatibility spanning twelve battery types. This charging hub is housed in an IP65-rated hard case for maximum portability, and features multiple USB-C outputs to charge additional accessories, making it an ideal choice for professionals that need a ton of power.
The PowerVault System promises to streamline your charging process, with swappable plates that can work with V-mount, Gold mount, SNAP, Sony BP-U, Sony NP-F, FUJIFILM NP-W235, Canon BP-A, Canon LP-E6, Panasonic BLK22, AA, AAA, and 9V batteries. Each bay can send out up to 40W to 50W with a published channel rating of up to 4A and 48W, meaning a standard 98Wh V-mount can fully charge in about two hours even with all five bays in use. The Base can also stack and parallel charge up to 25 of Core’s own SNAP pack batteries.
Power Sharing Mode allows the PowerVault to redistribute power internally and let batteries charge each other, no AC connection needed. The Base has four USB-C outputs, including a 140W PD Pro and a 65W PD Pro port, useful for powering cameras, laptops, monitors, and other accessories. The 5.4 lb case has integrated storage and cable management to keep things clean, as well as Bluetooth and VoltBridge mobile app compatibility for monitoring battery health and remotely controlling the system.
The Base case uses silent passive cooling and a GaN power architecture for stable output even under heavy loads. Each port has a red/green LED for quickly seeing its status, and there’s an interior backlight for working in dark conditions. PowerVault promises to simplify pro production workflows and pack a modular, multi-format charging solution into a durable hardshell case. The Base System is exclusively available at B&H. It can be purchased by itself or bundled with magnetically snapping adapter plates. Adapter plates are also sold separately.
