My favorite part of photography is communicating with whomever I’m working, it’s when I become who I am. I can be anxious during a shoot, but I don’t tend to show that anxiety. If things are going well, I even have a sort of out-of-body experience, like I’m floating above the scene looking down at all that is happening. The scene is calm, even if I’m not. Process is important, but when all is said and done, photography is looking at the past in a single image.
