Adobe has announced the latest iterations of Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements, the streamlined versions of its immensely popular photo- and video-editing software. Fresh in the 2022 edition are a number of new, user-friendly editing functions powered by Adobe Sensei AI technology, as well as a handful of video-geared options, reflecting the growing popularity of video content and variety of social media platforms.
Starting with Photoshop Elements 2022, you can now apply effects inspired by a variety of art styles to part of a photo or the entire image. Adding motion to still images has become easier, too, with the addition of moving overlays that can be saved as MP4s for easy posting on social media. Adobe Sensei AI tech also simplifies the process of warping images for overlays and other creative applications. Two Guided Edits also have been added: Perfect Pet and Content Aware Fill.
Regarding Premiere Elements 2022, aspect ratios for video export have been expanded to meet the rising demand of social media platforms. You can now create in square or vertical formats, simplifying workflows for fast editing and posting. Motion titles, mattes, and backgrounds can also be added with ease. Adobe Sensei AI tech again comes through to help reframe subjects to ensure that videos focus on what is most important. Guided Edits have been added for animated overlays, as well as shadow/highlight adjustments.
