Celebrate 50 Years as the Professional’s Source at B&H's Bild Expo, September 6-7

Save the Date! B&H will be celebrating its 50th anniversary, September 6-7, at the Bild Expo in the Javits Center, in Manhattan, just two avenues over from the B&H Photo SuperStore. Bild, the Yiddish word for “image,” was chosen to reflect B&H’s history of helping bring creative visions to life across the media landscape. The two-day event will offer something for every type of creator: inspiring presentations from the best of the best across creative industries, hands-on learning opportunities, a massive gear expo, photo walks around New York City, and portfolio reviews with some of the best eyes in the photo world.

Speakers for Days

If you’ve attended any of B&H’s conferences in the past, you know the level of talent on stage is unmatched. Now imagine who will show up for its 50th birthday! Whether you are seeking fresh inspiration, business tips, or new skills, there will be no shortage of knowledgeable voices at the Bild Expo.

In addition to a Main Stage for headlining speakers, three “focus” stages will center upon specific types of creators. The OPTIC Stage will bring together outdoor, travel, wildlife, conservation, and fine art photographers. The Depth of Field Stage will focus on portrait, fashion, wedding, and commercial photography. Finally, the Creative Production Stage will serve as home base for filmmakers, video creators, and editors.

The speaker list grows daily, consisting of a blend of first-time and veteran presenters, including Flo Ngala, Scott Kelby, Sade Ndya, Art Wolfe, Chris Kentis, Daphne Le, Justin Odisho, and Kenneth Hines Jr., to name a few. Check back on the Bild Expo landing page to keep up to date on who will be making an appearance.

Portfolio Reviews and Round Tables

Craving a fresh set of eyes on your work? Looking to meet creators who share your passions and interests? Industry experts will be conducting portfolio reviews throughout the expo, offering the surest way to take your photography to new frontiers. Complementing portfolio reviews, thematic round-table discussions will provide a direct avenue for networking and sharing your opinions on the topics that mean the most to you.

Gear Up at the Partner Pavilion

More than two hundred brands will descend upon the Javits Center to celebrate B&H’s anniversary. Whether you have questions about the gear you already own or are looking to expand your collection, there is no better place than the Partner Pavilion to learn about and test the latest photo, video, and audio equipment. Bring your camera with you—and save a little room in your bag for free swag.

Get Some Fresh Air on a Photo Walk

The Javits Center is a great location, but nothing beats the streets of New York for taking photos. Join a brand ambassador-led photo walk to get real-time tips and hands-on experience as you explore the Big Apple.

Take Home More than Memories

Still on the fence? Contests and raffles will be held during the Expo, offering chances to take home an assortment of prizes. Additionally, be on the lookout for specials and deals throughout the event.

I’m unable to attend. Will the special prices shown in the catalog be available online those 2 days Sept. 6/7?

While many prices that are listed in the catalog will also be listed online, some of the catalog pricings state "Savings at Show Only" or "Additional Savings at Show Only" indicated in red.  For these items, the discounted prices will only be available when visiting the BILD Expo at the Javits Center in person.

Hi, will any parts of the BILD event (lectures, event floor tours, etc.) be available online, for those of us unable too attend?  Thanks.

We understand that some people cannot join us at Bild.  We will be livestreaming most of the Bild Main Stage speaker presentations on our website and on our YouTube channel.  We will record most of the presentations from all of the stages to share on our YouTube channel after Bild ends.
