FUJIFILM has just made a trio of exciting announcements! First, the company is rolling out the new GF 45-100mm f/4 R LM WR medium format digital lens for its GFX system. Second and third, entry into the FUJIFILM X-series APS-C sensor cameras has just gotten sweeter, with the launch of the FUJIFILM X-T200 mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera and first-ever prime lens for the FUJIFILM XC lens family—the XC 35mm f/2 lens.
At 45-100mm (35-79mm equivalent), this new GF 45-100mm f/4 R LM WR zoom provides an excellent range for portrait, event, and architectural work. Its constant f/4 aperture offers dependable performance throughout its range, and a linear AF motor makes focusing fast and quiet for stills and video applications. The Optical Image Stabilization (O.I.S) can be manually switched on or off on the side of the lens, depending on your setup.
It also features a physical aperture ring for exposure adjustments that incorporates a Command position for camera-based settings. Finally, the lens is weather-resistant, so you can take it on the road with confidence.
The new FUJIFILM X-T200, available in dark silver, silver, and champagne gold, replaces the X-T100 as the entry-level model in the FUJIFILM X-Series APS-C sensor lineup. Featuring a 24.2MP sensor, the X-T200 incorporates FUJIFILM’s famous film-simulation modes, a larger 3.5" rear touch screen, 8 fps shooting, and other improvements over its predecessor, including a new Clear Advanced Filter that allows for enhanced “bright mode” performance. With its ability to use all of the FUJIFILM X-series lenses, the X-T200 represents a very economical entry into the world of FUJIFILM X shooting.
The FUJIFILM X-T200 is available as a body only and also as a kit, with the XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ lens in dark silver, silver, and champagne gold.
Accompanying the launch of the X-T200 is the new FUJIFILM XC 35mm f/2 lens, which is the first prime lens in the XC lineup. This diminutive lens features 9 elements in 6 groups, including 2 aspherical elements, and gives a 35mm equivalent field of view of a “normal” 50mm lens. Paired with the small and light X-T200, this XC 35mm lens gives the X-series photographer a very small and portable package. It is exciting to see a prime lens in the XC lineup!

I am waiting for Fujifilm to release a real GFX 100 video camera with specialized video features that video producers want, use and need like timecode, 4K 60p, neutral density, stereo audio inputs, a bright LCD screen that may be seen in daylight and timecode output for syncing to dedicated recorders. When such a camera is released, I will buy two of them and every GFX lens that Fujifilm has made and will make in the future. Until a real video camera is created, I will wait patiently.
