Blurring the line between analog and digital, the all-new M11-D camera from Leica features a screenless design that’s purpose-built to help users fully immerse themselves in the photographic process. In a world overrun by overly complex cameras with convoluted functionality, the streamlined M11-D is a breath of fresh air, one that allows you to focus on the fundamental elements of photography: composition and exposure.
Ironically, the M11-D’s most conspicuous feature is one that’s missing: a rear display. In lieu of a screen, Leica opted for an large, easy-to-access ISO dial that’s designed to enhance the analog experience while simultaneously increasing the overall durability.
Despite the omitted display and updated build, the M11-D still sports the iconic, unobtrusive “No Logo” design on the front of the camera and engraved Leica logo on the top plate. An aluminum top cover and scratch-resistant finish provide additional damage protection and a lighter build of just 1.19 lb helps solidify the M11-D’s position as one the slickest full-frame cameras on the market.

The 60MP Triple Resolution BSI CMOS sensor matches that found in the M11-P, allowing the user to choose from 60, 36, or 18MP resolutions for DNG and JPG. The large sensor enables an extensive sensitive range of ISO 64-50,000 for excellent low-light performance. It also allows for an expanded digital zoom range.
Bluetooth and direct USB-C connection were added for seamless connectivity, and as a certified “Made for iPhone” product, the M11-D provides an exceptionally fast connection to iOS devices. Furthermore, the revamped Leica FOTOS app now connects through a special pairing that works by pressing the FN-button for five seconds. It provides 10 to 30 times faster cable speed with USB Mode PTP and access to additional camera settings such as adjusting the white balance.

Camera apps have quickly become an essential tool for on-the-go action and FOTOS provides a smooth experience that facilitates image transfers, remote control, and geotagging. Once saved in the app, the settings are permanently adopted by the Leica M11-D.
Thanks to its dedicated hardware-based Leica Content Credentials technology, the Leica M11-D helps to protect the authenticity of digital images. The technology is based on the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI) and the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA) framework, allowing the authenticity of the pictures taken with the Leica M11-D to be verified at any time.
Leica’s elegant and efficient design also translates to their accessories, such as two new matching high-quality leather straps. One is a black half-case, specifically designed for the Leica M11-D with a cutout for the mechanical ISO dial on the camera's back and access to the battery and SD card. The other is a carrying strap available in black and cognac, crafted from a single piece of leather, suitable for all M -Series cameras.
