Nikon has announced the NIKKOR Z 24mm f/1.8 S Lens, the widest prime for Nikon’s FX-format Z-series mirrorless cameras to date. Ideal for architecture, landscapes, and streetscapes, its fast f/1.8 maximum aperture ensures excellent imaging even when capturing low-light environments.

An admirable addition to an already impressive lineup of primes, it shares many of the features of its brethren. Autofocus is fast and quiet, thanks to a stepping motor, while manual override is available when needed. A programmable control ring can be customized for quick setting adjustments when shooting on the fly. Specialized elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations, while a Nano Crystal Coat and Super Integrated Coating cut back on ghosting and lens flare. The lens barrel is dust and moisture resistant so that you can shoot with confidence under less than ideal weather conditions. It also includes the HB-88 Lens Hood.
