Panasonic updates a classic zoom with the Leica DG Vario-Elmarit 12-35mm f/2.8 ASPH. POWER O.I.S Lens. Providing the equivalent of a 24-70mm focal range, the new zoom serves as an excellent all-in-one option for street, landscape, and even portrait photography. Designed to replace the LUMIX G X Vario 12-35mm f/2.8, it boasts the optical excellence of Leica glass, dual image stabilization, and a rugged build begging to be taken on an adventure.

Optically, the new lens consists of fourteen elements arranged in nine groups. This includes one Ultra Extra-Low Dispersion (UED), one Ultra High Refractive Index (UHR), and four aspherical elements, as well as a Nano Surface Coating, which all combine to temper distortions and reflections of all stripes, ensuring sharp and accurate image rendering. Additionally, a constant f/2.8 aperture provides consistent performance across nearly any lighting condition. It can focus as close as 0.15m, providing a 0.21x magnification.

The new zoom works in tandem with the contrast AF system of G Series cameras to provide fast, accurate, and quiet focusing up to 240 fps. Dual image stabilization is provided via camera body and O.I.S built into the lens so you can shoot handheld with confidence.

The lens weighs only 10.7 ounces and measures less than 3 inches in length, making it a perfect travel companion. Further adding to its everyday appeal, it features a dust- and splash-resistant design and can endure temperature extremes down to -10 degrees Fahrenheit.
