Prograde's 2TB CFexpress Type B Memory Card Is Its Biggest to Date

ProGrade has announced a new 2TB option for its CFexpress 2.0 Type B Gold memory card. The new, high-capacity iteration features the same industry-leading quality of ProGrade's current 2nd-gen cards (including PCIe 3.0 interconnect with an NVMe 1.4 host controller interface). It's also backward compatible with CFexpress 1.0.

The new card features a maximum read speed of up to 1700MB/s, and a guaranteed minimum write speed of 1300MB/s. This card is designed for professionals to offload content to a computer quickly, thanks to its sustained high speeds. It's capable of data capture with a variety of large-format video codecs, such as 4K raw, 4K and 6K ProRes 4444, 6K, 8K ProRes 422HQ, and others, without throttling performance. Additionally, the card can work with Refresh Pro, which is ProGrade's memory card health-monitoring and sanitizing software rolled into one.

MSRP for the 2TB card is $799.99 and it'll be available in a slightly discounted 2-pack, as well. It is also available in other capacities, ranging from 512GB to 1TB, and comes with a limited three-year warranty. The current-generation cards have the sustained write speeds indicated on the label. The older-generation cards are also available in 128GB and 256GB capacities.
