Tamron has just introduced its 28-200mm f/2.8-5.6 Di III RXD Lens, now the fastest all-in-one zoom in its class, with a maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the widest end. This should help many zoom lens enthusiasts who are looking to capture a little extra light in dim conditions.

Designed specifically for full-frame Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras, Tamron's new zoom is a great match as it measures a mere 4.6" long and weighs 20.3 ounces, which makes it a comfortable and versatile "one-camera, one-lens" walkaround rig. Tamron's latest zoom lens features moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coatings, and a Zoom Lock switch that mean it will hold up in a range of shooting conditions.

Other features found on the 28-200mm include Tamron's RXD silent focusing motors, close-up shooting with a 7.5" minimum focus distance at 28mm with a magnification ratio of 1:3.1, a seven-bladed diaphragm, and 67mm filter threads.

Jordan.....I have a Sony Zeiss 24-240 for sale if you're interested. Barely used.

Let me know if you're interested. Thanks.

Tamron just keeps it coming... 😂 I tried and returned the 28-75 and didn't appreciate it, but the 70-200 GM isn't quite a fun "street" zoom to carry around. I've been tempted by the Sony 24-240 before, so maybe this would deserve a try. By the way, where is Tamron going next? I'd love a cheaper 12mm option from Tamron!

Hey Jordan,

The only sure way to know if the lens is right for you is to take one for a test drive. If that's not possible, do keep in mind B&H has a full refund policy if you're not satisfied with your purchase - just keep everything nice and clean!
