Able to use a distortion-free electronic shutter, the a9 can deliver incredible shooting speeds of up to 20 fps with shutter speeds up to 1/32,000 second for freezing action. Ensuring you never miss the decisive moment, the EVF has been upgraded as well with a 120 fps refresh rate and blackout-free operation. Also, the buffer and write speeds have been boosted for shooting up to 241 raw images in a single burst.
Providing the ergonomics and durability demanded by professionals, the a9 has a larger and more robust grip and construction, that still manages to keep weight to an absolute minimum. It even manages to squeeze in a 3” touchscreen, dual SD card slots, LAN and PC sync ports, and a much more powerful battery pack.
