Thinkware recently unveiled some new dash cams, along with accompanying rear-view cameras, to give drivers the option of a complete video recording solution for the front and rear of their vehicles. Additionally, a new 2-channel motorsport camera for motorcycles was also unveiled.
Up first, the Q800PRO is a Wi-Fi dash cam that records 2560 x 1440 resolution video at 30 fps. It has a wide 140-degree lens, a built-in speaker and microphone, a supercapacitor for fail-safe recording, thermal protection, and a built-in GPS antenna for tracking your vehicle's location, speed, and direction of travel with support for up to 20 geofence zones. An onboard G-sensor triggers emergency recording in the event of a collision. Driver safety features include forward collision and lane departure warnings, along with safety camera alerts that notify you of upcoming speed and red light cameras.
The Q800PRO comes in a bundle that includes the TWA-F800R rear-view camera and a 32GB microSD card. The TWA-F800R captures 1080p resolution video and has a 140-degree field of view. It delivers noise control and clarity in low-light conditions. Motion detection is available when compatible dash cams are hardwired.
The X700 dash cam captures 1080p video at 30 fps. It has a 140-degree diagonal field of view, a 2.7 LCD touchscreen, night vision functionality for low-light conditions, a supercapacitor for fail-safe recording, and thermal protection.
The X700 rear-view camera is compatible with the X700 dash cam. It captures 1080p resolution video at 30 fps in a 125-degree field of view.
Lastly, the M1 is a 2-channel Wi-Fi camera designed for motorcycles. Thanks to a dual-camera design, it can record the front and rear of a motorcycle while on the road. Both the front- and rear-facing cameras capture 1080p resolution video at 30 fps. The cameras feature 140-degree fields of view and a built-in gyro sensor.
