Atomos Announces the SHOGUN CONNECT Monitor and CONNECT Connectivity Accessory

B&H is excited to announce next-generation monitor technology from Atomos, with the release of the Atomos CONNECT accessory for the Ninja V and Ninja V+ and the Shogun CONNECT 7" monitor. The release of the CONNECT provides additional connectivity to already feature-rich monitors to propel them, and your productions, into live cloud streaming environments. The CONNECT and SHOGUN CONNECT are also officially Adobe Certified Frame.io Camera to Cloud (C2C) devices, which means you can now seamlessly integrate the CONNECT into your Adobe post-production workflow.

The Atomos CONNECT is an add-on accessory for the Ninja V and Ninja V+ recording monitors that allows multiple video and network interfaces for your pro digital or cinema camera. It features a slim design and mounts on the back of the monitor, offering an L-series battery slot and other power options. There is now support for AtomX Sync to sync all your cameras’ timecode, as well as a new 12G-SDI interface and more camera possibilities beyond the monitor’s HDMI inputs. It also boasts multiple networking features, including Wi-Fi 6 using the integrated antennas, Bluetooth LE, and Gigabit Ethernet, so you can stream to networked video switches, additional monitors, and cloud destinations.

The Atomos Shogun CONNECT is a redesigned Shogun 7" recorder/monitor that maintains all the great features of the Shogun, including HDR support, RAW recording, a bright 7" display, input and output switching, and DCI 4K support. It pares down the video inputs/outputs from the original Shogun to two 12G-SDI and two HDMI ports for SDI RAW input/output. Additionally, it has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and Gigabit Ethernet networking options, as well as a USB Type-C port. Like the CONNECT module accessory, it also includes the AtomX Sync technology to sync timecode with all the cameras on your production.

Frame.io Camera to Cloud (C2C) Integration

All you need is the latest Atomos firmware update (v10.81) for Frame.io C2C support and your Adobe Creative Cloud subscription with the free Frame.io Camera to Cloud integration, and you are ready to CONNECT. Frame.io C2C allows you to accelerate your post-production workflow, connecting your footage to your post teams using a plug-in for popular NLEs such as Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer, and more. Since Atomos CONNECT is compatible with major camera manufacturers, integrating your footage with the C2C cloud covers most productions of any budget, camera type, or location.
