Content creators with a love for rich, full-frame video can now add Laowa’s Ranger Zoom line to their tool kits. Available in 28-75mm T2.9 and 75-180mm T2.9 versions, these compact zooms deliver the optimal imaging and shallow depth of field that are the hallmarks of the immersive full-frame look.
Versatility
These versatile lenses come with a native ARRI PL mount and a Canon EF-mount adapter. Canon RF, Leica L, Nikon Z, and Sony E-mount adapters are also available separately so you can use the Rangers with a wide lineup of cine-style, DSLR, and mirrorless cameras. The 28-75 and 75-180mm T2.9 zooms are available both individually and as a two-lens set, and will be joined by an upcoming third, wider lens.

Cine-Style Design
The cine-style features of the Ranger Zoom include a parfocal design that produces minimal breathing so the frame remains constant while shifting focus. The 43.2mm image circle covers up to full-frame sensors and the relatively fast T2.9 maximum aperture remains constant throughout the zoom range.
The 0.8MOD focus and zoom gears are designed to work with FIZ (focus, iris, zoom) lens controls, and the focal length and focus marks are bright and good sized, making them easy to see. Both zooms have a 77mm filter thread and an 80mm front diameter that are compatible with many matte boxes and adapters. Use the 11-blade iris to create rounded bokeh when you want to add a dreamy or accented look to your Ranger Zoom footage.
