Choosing the right surveillance cameras can be challenging but, thankfully, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Available at B&H, Dahua Technology offers a cost-friendly solution with its Lite Series security cameras. But don’t be fooled by the price—these cameras pack a variety of features and specifications for a complete video-monitoring setup. With options ranging from dome to bullet cameras, as well as fixed and varifocal lenses, you’re sure to find a camera that’s right for your viewing environment.
For starters, take a look at the 1.3MP mini dome camera, available with either a 2.8mm or 3.6mm fixed lens. Both cameras are capable of capturing 960H (1280 x 960) video at up to 30 fps for smooth recording and playback, ensuring you don’t miss a scene. They also have IR LEDs around the lens to capture clear video in complete darkness from up to 98' away. If you need to be able to zoom in on a subject or want a wider field of view, consider the 1.3MP dome camera with a 2.7-12mm varifocal lens. This camera has a slightly lower night vision range of about 66', but it’s dust- and water resistant, like the cameras mentioned above. These cameras are also IK10-rated for impact protection and run on PoE for easy installation.
Dahua also offers a turret camera with similar specifications as the dome cameras. The 2.8mm and 3.6mm versions are enclosed in IP67-rated housings to further protect the cameras from dust and water. These compact cameras are great for installations that require limited amounts of space and are equally useful at night, with up to 98' of night vision.
For more flexible mounting options, Dahua also offers Lite Series bullet cameras with a variety of lenses, including 3.6mm, 6mm, and 2.7-12mm options. The two fixed-lens versions have an IP67-rated enclosure, as opposed to the 2.7-12mm option, which has a slightly lower IP rating of IP66. All three cameras are suitable for outdoor use and will operate in temperatures as low as -22 degrees Fahrenheit and as high as 140 degrees Fahrenheit. Just like the aforementioned dome and turret cameras, these bullet cameras produce high-quality video and images, thanks to their 1.3MP 1/3" progressive scan CMOS sensors. It’s worth noting that the bullet cameras lack impact protection. If vandal resistance is a priority for you, be sure to look for a camera with an IK rating, such as the various dome cameras previously mentioned. You’re sure to find something to fit your surveillance needs with the Lite Series line of cameras from Dahua Technology, but in an affordable, yet feature-rich package.
