Digital Watchdog’s recently released MEGApix lineup is designed to provide you with an affordable, high-resolution, day/night surveillance solution for your commercial or office establishment. The lineup includes four 4MP Outdoor Network Turret Cameras with Night Vision, all sharing a similar housing for visual consistency. They all record in up to 2592 x 1520 resolution at 30 fps but come with different lenses for various types of spaces.
Three of the models have a fixed focal length lens, while the fourth offers a varifocal lens with autofocus. You get a choice of a super-wide 2.8mm lens with a 103-degree field of view, a 3.6mm lens with a 72-degree FOV, a 6mm lens with a 50-degree FOV, and a 3.3-12mm lens with an 80-38-degree FOV for varying needs.
Weatherproof and impact resistant, the cameras can safely be installed outdoors and indoors. They offer 65 to 100 feet of IR LED night vision (depending on the model), meaning that they’ll clearly record a black-and-white image in complete darkness. They also offer motion-detection recording with assignable detection areas and sensitivity, and with corresponding notifications sent to you via email or FTP server. Other smart features include 3D Digital Noise Reduction, Backlight Compensation, and Wide Dynamic Range. If you’d also like to record audio, there’s a selectable mic/line audio input on each camera.
Between these four models, you can set up a comprehensive indoor/outdoor system monitoring the entrances/exits, hallways, main rooms, and pretty much every other space in your establishment. Simply connect the cameras to your NVR (Network Video Recorder) via Ethernet cables for direct Power-over-Ethernet from your NVR (sold separately), and secure your entire establishment day and night in high resolution and at a real-time frame rate. You can also monitor a live view of all the cameras by connecting your NVR to a local display.
