DJI has officially entered the 360 action camera space. The Osmo 360 allows you to capture native 8K30 360° video on your next adventure. A slew of new accessories help you create 360° video on the go with a configuration that best suits your needs.
Osmo 360
The Osmo 360 features a square HDR image sensor with the same image field as traditional 1” sensors for native 8K30 video capture with 13.5 stops of dynamic range. Record continuous 8K footage for 100 minutes to ensure you don’t miss a single second of the action. Dual- and single-lens modes allow you to toggle between 360° and first-person action camera capture up to 5K60 with a 155° wide angle viewing. Every supported video format utilizes 10-bit color depth or D-Log M mode for enhanced detail.
Boost Mode expands the field of view to 170° and records 4K120 footage for high-speed action. Single-lens mode allows you to swap between the front and rear camera lenses freely without needing to pause your recording. When you want to freeze the action, the Osmo 360 can take 120MP photos. Internal 105GB of storage allows you to ditch microSD cards for greater peace of mind. Once you’re out of space, transfer your footage using Wi-Fi 6 and USB 3.1 protocols.
Like other cameras in the Osmo series, the Osmo 360 features RockSteady 3.0 and HorizonSteady technology to reduce shake and correct horizontal tilts while maintaining dynamic motion. Gesture and Voice Control offer hands-free options when your camera is mounted in hard-to-reach spaces.
Four built-in microphones capture stereo sound with ease, using advanced wind noise reduction to clean up the sound from your motorcycle trip or mountain biking excursion. OsmoAudio allows you to directly connect up to two DJI microphone transmitters to further enhance the camera’s sound capabilities. Bluetooth headsets can also be paired with the device for hands-free voice control.
The Osmo 360 is available in two different configurations: a Standard Combo and an Adventure Combo. The Standard Combo equips you with the Extreme Battery Plus, lens cleaning cloth, USB-C to USB-C PD cable, rubber lens protector, and a protective pouch to hold it all. The Adventure Combo adds two additional batteries, the Multifunctional Battery Case 2, Adjustable Quick Release Adapter Mount, Invisible Selfie Stick.
These accessories are a part of an overall expansion of the DJI Osmo Action series accessory line now featuring Osmo Magnetic Quick-Release designs. In addition to the Adjustable Quick Release Adapter Mount, DJI has released a Battery Extension Rod, Motorcycle Heavy-Duty Mount, Dual Heavy-Duty Clamp, Multifunctional Bike Tube Mount Kit, Third-Person Helmet Mount Kit, Transparent Lens Protectors, Hanging Neck Mount Max, and an Invisible Waterproof Case. A lot of these accessories help adapt the Osmo 360 for activity-specific mounting and remain invisible even in 360° footage.
New selfie sticks are also available, including the Invisible Selfie Stick, that will disappear in 360° video. Other models include a High-Strength Carbon Fiber Invisible Selfie Stick, Extended Carbon Fiber Selfie Stick, and Tripod Selfie Stick which offer varying lengths, additional functionality, and material differences.
