The monumental growth of live streaming in the past few years has led to creators building portable studio setups to bring to events, conferences, and other locations. Rackmount monitors provide a space-saving method for multi-camera shoots, letting users look at all their video feeds from a central location. Elvid’s StudioVision lineup continues to innovate in this space, with a new Triple 5" Full HD Rackmount Monitor that packs three backlit IPS screens into a 2 RU form factor with HDMI and SDI inputs and outputs.
Elvid knows what features monitor buyers want and has fit a lot of them into this new unit, including exposure tools like vector scopes, waveforms, false color, and histograms, LUT importing via USB, a DE-15 Tally connector, and LAN control via Ethernet. Each of the three 5" monitors include their own menu control buttons, headphone jacks, and assignable function buttons, ensuring easy customization in fast paced live production environments.
The HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI inputs and outputs behind each of the three screens mean you can feed independent signals or display the same signal across all three with different LUTs and exposure tools. The key here is flexibility, especially with built-in scaling and the ability to display anything from 480i to 1080p via SDI and up to 4k60p via HDMI. Throw the StudioVision any signal in that range and you’ll be able to see it in crisp, clear focus with a 160° viewing angle.
Whether you’re integrating the unit into a larger rack build or using it by itself, this Triple 5" Monitor will help you slim down your setup without sacrificing control or confidence in your image. This monitor will be showcased at NAB 2024, alongside Elvid’s other StudioVision monitors.
