Livestream with the New Hollyland Venuss Pro and Venuss Air Live Cameras and Mars M1 Pro

Hollyland has arrived at NAB 2023 with a new and updated set of products to make livestreamers very happy. The brand has now entered the camera arena with the new Venuss Pro and Venuss Air Live streaming cameras, which provide quick and easy setup and HD video capture for livestreamers. Meanwhile, the Mars M1 Pro updates the original M1 with a larger 7" screen and adds USB-C output and a dual L-series battery plate.

Venuss Pro and Venuss Air

The size of a small camcorder or block camera, the new Venuss Pro 1080p HD streaming camera is designed specifically for livestreamers who need a quick setup and integration into an HDMI switching system, without much new gear to learn. It is compact and easy to manage, using the large flip-up display on top, which is about the size of a smartphone. It features Wi-Fi so you can configure and stream directly, using RTMP/RTSP via your own smartphone from a distance with the Hollyland app, or you can connect it directly to a LAN using its built-in Ethernet port.

The camera also features an HDMI output to utilize a local monitor or to send video to a switcher such as a Blackmagic ATEM or Roland HDMI video switcher. You can also simultaneously record your stream directly to an onboard SD card using the integrated slot. It even features a USB-C output so you can connect it to a computer as a webcam to use a variety of different software packages for your streams. Its wide, built-in Tamron lens features a 28mm focal length, and it can also utilize a 3x optical zoom for a tighter frame. It also supports horizontal and vertical shooting modes for compatibility with different social media platforms. It can be powered using a single L-series battery.

The Venuss Air features most of the above internal features, but it is a more pared-down model for studio use. It is considerably smaller than the Pro model and doesn't include a flip-out display or battery plate, so it is controlled via a remote Wi-Fi app and is powered by a wired power source.

Mars M1 Pro

Built as a companion to the popular and versatile Mars M1, the Mars M1 Pro is specifically designed to be a director's monitor. The M1 Pro retains many of the great features of the M1, such as HDMI in/out, USB-C input, a headphone jack, optional DC input, and it provides easy mounting on a camera or handheld rig. The most important updates in the Mars M1 Pro are the larger 7" size (the M1 is 5.5") and that it only has the wireless receiver feature, while the M1 features switchable RX/TX functions. There is also a dual L-series battery plate on the back for even longer runtimes. The Mars M1 Pro is compatible with all the Mars series transmitters, including the Mars M1 in transmitter mode.
