Take pounds off your camera with new Rokinon XEEN CF cine lenses, made with lightweight carbon fiber, just announced at IBC 2019. Coming soon in 16, 24, 35, 50, and 85mm models, the XEEN CF cine lenses are compact in size and weight across the line, perfect for gimbal and drone usage. And sporting that carbon fiber weave, they look pretty cool, too.
With a fast T1.5 aperture and 11-blade iris, these full-frame cine lenses produce stunning bokeh and feature excellent low-light performance because they cover large cinema sensors up to 8K. Since they all share a similar aperture and internal design, color matching and post-production are made much easier when changing lenses. Each lens averages 3.6" long, and with their light 2.1 lb weight, they can be used in a variety of mobile and space-limited productions. The lenses also share a common 95mm front diameter, which makes it easier to change matte boxes, follow focus motors, and other gear without much reconfiguration. Luminous paint markings for distance and aperture make it easier to pull focus in low-light situations, and all the scale markings are in the same place on each lens, so there's no need to relearn marking locations when you change lenses.
The XEEN CF cine lenses will initially include 24mm T1.5, 50mm T1.5, and 85mm T1.5 models in PL, Sony E, and Canon EF mounts later this year. In 2020, Rokinon will release additional 16mm T2.6 and 35mm T1.5 models.
