We at B&H Photo Video are pleased to announce the new Z CAM K1 PRO—a Google VR180-certified, dual-lens video and still camera available exclusively at B&H. Capture immersive 180˚ views of your experiences, then view them as you prefer in either 2D, or in 3D using a VR headset. The stereoscopic K1 PRO employs dual Sony EXMOR 4/3" Thirds CMOS sensors for image recording, and offers robust post-stitching output rates of 6K at 30 fps, or 4K at 60 fps. A Gigabit Ethernet port enables you to live-stream your event using the downloadable Z CAM WonderLive software (PC), and to control the K1 PRO using the Z CAM Controller software (PC or Mac).

Z CAM K1 PRO features include built-in Wi-Fi, internal image syncing, time lapse, and a photo snap function. Image controls include auto and manual ISO, exposure, and white balance, and the Z-Log gamma curve setting for color grading. The premium fisheye lenses have an aperture range of f/2.8-11, and the camera offers ISO settings from 100-3200, enabling you to shoot in a variety of ambient light settings. Google’s VR180 format provides an immersive, wide-angle view without the disorienting feel some users experience with complete 360˚ VR imagery. The VR180 format also conserves bandwidth when streaming, and saves on storage when compared to 360˚ capture.

The K1 PRO records to dual SD cards (up to 128GB), using H.264 encoding in FAT/ex FAT MOV files. SanDisk Extreme Pro 95 MB/s SDXC cards are recommended for storage by Z CAM. Capture AAC-encoded audio using the K1 PRO’s internal stereo microphone, or use an external mic to input audio via its 3.5mm audio-in jack. Multiple options are available for powering your K1 PRO, including PoE (power over Ethernet), LEMO and D-tap inputs, and an included AC power supply (with US, EU and UK plugs). The compact K1 PRO measures approximately 5 x 2.5 x 3.5", weighs just over 1.5 lb, and is housed in a sturdy aluminum-alloy body.
