Manfrotto expands their ONE camera support ecosystem with the new ONE Video Tripod, 502X Fluid Head, XPRO Ball Head, and XPRO 3-Way Head, all aiming to strike the ideal balance between lightweight design and professional durability. The ONE tripod legs have new XTEND technology; the 502X head has a fluid drag system; and the XPRO heads have tool-free XCHANGE bases.
The ONE Video tripod legs promises a new XTEND single-lock leg design and XCHANGE quick release system, as well as a built-in one-step leveling mechanism. It's designed to be quickly adjustable, then hold strong in place whether you're using a mirrorless camera, camcorder, or compact cinema camera. The XCHANGE system allows you to swap heads, sliders, and accessories without the screwing or unscrewing any bolts. The legs have hooks for adding weight, flexible angling for uneven terrain, and modular feet with rubber or spikes. It can hold 11 lb when used with a 500X head, or 17.6 lb with a 502x.
The 502X fluid head is brand new, sporting that impressive 17.6-pound payload and a spring-loaded 9.7-pound counterbalance system. It also has a variable continuous fluid drag system (FDS) and independent locks for the pan and tilt. The 75mm flat base has a 3/8”-16 attachment and is compatible with XCHANGE. The included plate is a top-load sliding variety for quicker placement, and the typical fluid head controls have been repositioned more toward the rear for easier operator access. The 502X has a slightly lower payload than the original 502, but that head sported a fixed counterbalance versus the counterbalance on the 502X that can be turned off.
Finally, the XPRO Ball Head and 3-Way Head. Both varietals have tool-free XCHANGE base connection points, precision manufacturing, and impressive payloads for their small size. The classic Ball Head weighs only 1.28 lb but can support up to 33.07 lb with three independent locking wedges. It uses an Arca-type base plate lock and dual leveling bubbles. The 3-Way Head weighs 2.18 lb and can support up to 26.46 lb, with three leveling bubbles for even more precise adjustments. It has three-way independent friction adjustment with axis control, plus secure locking knobs and retractable fold-down levers. It's especially ideal for photographers working in landscape and architecture.
