The Meike 50mm T2.2 Manual Focus Cinema Lens, in an MFT mount, is the latest edition to Meike’s line of compact cine lenses for Micro Four Thirds sensors. Designed with an all-metal housing and low-dispersion glass with multi-layer coating, the lens is robust yet lightweight, and allows for reduced flare and ghosting, providing for increased color accuracy. The fast T2.2 maximum aperture ensures better performance in difficult lighting conditions while offering greater control over depth of field. Other features of the lens include low distortion, a high refractive index, and a 77mm filter thread. There are 9 lens elements in 7 groups, and scale markings are provided in feet and inches. The minimum focus distance at the fixed 50mm focal length is 24", while the focus rotation is 270-degrees, allowing for more precise focus adjustments.
