Dedicated, bespoke, custom-fit—you get the picture—this cage is designed to fit your a7S III precisely while maintaining access to the battery slot, hot shoe, and controls and also enabling the screen to be flipped out. The cage is constructed of a solid aluminum alloy that combines light weight with durability and resistance to oxidation. An anti-twist rubber cushion helps to seat your camera securely and eliminate movement within the cage.

Adding your favorite accessories to the cage is easy, with a choice of one built-in shoe mount, multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, and several ARRI-style anti-twist threads. The SmallRig a7S III cage also incorporates a side NATO rail and threads for an optional lens adapter support. To facilitate mounting your camera, a combination Allen key/flathead screwdriver is attached magnetically to the cage bottom.

Does this work with the acra-Swiss quick release for gimbal?

Unfortunately, this cage doesn't have an Arca type dovetail design at the bottom.

Why are you guys charging way over the amount that smallrig is selling it on their own site smh

We need to upgrade our cage now but our camera next year. Do you know if this would be suitable/usable for the A7sii in the short-term?

It will not be.  This cage is specific to the A7SIII.  It will not work with the A7SII.

Can you use the Sony-included HDMI clamp with this cage?

We believe so.  It appears to offer the needed clearance for that.

sony includes HDMI clamp's with their camera's?

They include an HDMI clamp with the A7SIII.
