Start planning your action shots, because Insta360 has just released the GO, a tiny action camera that records 1080p video and features image stabilization to record smooth video for your wildest action scenes, just about anywhere. This miniature camera packs a ton of features in its fraction-of-an-ounce body, such as a wide lens, a fast F2.1 aperture, a 200mAh battery, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The GO records high-resolution 1080p30 video with a bit rate of 40 Mb/s and features multiple recording modes. It features a one-tap time-lapse or hyper-lapse mode with resolutions up to 3040p30, and it can shoot single stills or interval photos with up to 2560 x 1440 resolution. The camera also features Insta360's FlowState stabilization, which utilizes an internal 6-axis gyro system to keep your shots rock steady. When you want to transfer and edit your footage, the camera connects via Bluetooth 4.0 to the Insta360 app on iOS or Android for transfer, to configure settings, and for editing.
The GO is so compact at 0.6 oz and measures only 1.9" long, it can be worn comfortably around your neck or clipped to your collar. Insta360 has a wide range of options for mounting, such as using the camera's built-in magnets for attaching to a magnetic mount, or it can fit into a splash-proof case for water shoots. Use a suction mount to attach the GO to your car, boat, or skateboard, and use the Easy Clip or Steady Clamp to attach the camera to various surfaces. Use the 1/4"-20 adapter for a wide range of mounting options with standard 1/4"-20 threads such as a tripod, hand grip, or the Bullet Time Handle, which facilitates the whip-action shot using slow motion, similar to what originated in the film, The Matrix.
The GO comes with its own custom quick-charging case with an 800mAh battery that provides the GO with approximately 200 18-second clips per charge (durations vary). The case also features a Lightning connector for iPhones and a micro-USB connector for Android, Windows, or Mac devices, which allow you to plug directly into your device's port for video transfer and to charge the GO case.
