Ezviz has released a new, fully wireless surveillance system, called the Mini Trooper. Unlike most other surveillance systems that require cables for power and network connection, the Mini Trooper system is a truly wire-free solution. No longer do you need to lay down long cable runs and drill through multiple layers of your home or office. The Mini Trooper system is simple: connect the Base Station to your router either via Wi-Fi or directly using the RJ45 Ethernet port, and then connect the Mini Trooper cameras via Wi-Fi to the Base Station.
Explore the Mini Trooper Base Station with a 720p Wireless Outdoor Camera. The kit includes the Base Station, as well as a camera, to get you started. If you place the Base Station indoors within 300' of the camera, you can save video directly to the included 8GB microSD card within the Base Station. The Base Station can support up to five additional cameras (six in total) so that you can monitor your entire home or office. You can also easily access video and settings from the ezviz mobile app for iOS and Android. Download the free app and view video from all connected ezviz devices in one place.
The Mini Trooper Camera captures 1280 x 720 HD resolution video at 15 fps in a wide-angle, 116-degree field of view. The camera is powered by four batteries for up to 9 months of battery life and is suitable for outdoor use with its IP65-rated enclosure. The long battery life is possible due to motion-activated recording, which allows the camera to record only when it detects movement in front of it. The camera also features IR LEDs that enable clear video capture in complete darkness from up to 25' away, helping you keep an eye on your property 24 hours a day. On top of everything, a built-in microphone provides aural surveillance for an added layer of security.

Can the unit be fixed to a wall using screws without using the magnetic base?
Hi Ray -
The wall mount may be attached to the wall using the supplied screws. The magnetic aspect of the mount must be used.
Is it encrypted?
Hi Mike -
Yes it is.
Security; 64/128-bit WEP, WPA/WPA2, WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK
Multilayer security and end-to-end video encryption keep stored and live video safe. For users who enable Alexa, image encryption will be disabled.
We use a Verizon wi fi router for service. Does computer have to be on for this system to work ?
Hi Roger -
You will need an active internet connection. So only the Wi-Fi router needs to be powered on and connected to the internet.
How do you attach the camera to the wall ? Just some type of adhesive pad ? Does it offer the option to use screws ?
Hi Charles -
The camera base is magnetic and includes the mounting hardware. The kit includes screws and wall anchors.
