With two kits to choose from, depending on the weight of your camera package, the BV6 and BV4 Pro Video Tripod kits provide a wide range of features for smooth camera operation. The BV4 tripod kit supports cameras and accessories weighing up to 8.8 pounds, while the BV6 kit supports cameras and accessories up to 13.2 pounds. Both fluid heads feature a 75mm half ball/bowl head fitting for quick leveling, and the diameter of the fitting provides a wide platform that is able to handle off-center balanced camera setups. The fluid heads can tilt straight down and feature 8 (BV6) or 6 (BV4) steps of counterbalance settings, independently stepped pan and tilt drag, and an industry standard sliding balance plate, so that you can fine-tune and “zero out” your camera on the head. You can adjust the position of the pan handle as needed for smooth operation.
The included legs are the same with either kit and are suitable for use on smooth interior floors, as well as exteriors with either hard or soft surfaces. The two-stage legs provide a generous height-adjustment range, and the removable mid-level spreader provides distinct advantages. Removing the spreader allows you to spread the legs wide and get low-angle shots that would otherwise require a high hat or baby legs. The mid-level spreader also allows you to set up a stable shooting platform on uneven surfaces, such as rocky terrain or stairs. Incorporating dual spiked feet, the tripod can take hold in soft ground, and for use on hard surfaces and delicate interior floors, the included rubber covers snap over the foot spikes. All in all, the Benro BV6 and BV4 Pro Video Tripod kits are exciting options to more well-known brands and worth a look on their own merits.

We have quite a few Benro tripods here at the University of Cincinnati. We will never buy more of these. They require too much regular maintenance. The C373 legs are the worst! At first glance, this is a lot of tripod for the money. Then you realize that you have to retighten each and every screw every two weeks, after using them twice. Don't buy cheap tripods!
