With zero delay, Teradek’s new Spark 4K wireless video transmission system delivers professional results with a simplified interface and a sleek antenna-less body that is suitable for on- and off-camera work. Available as a kit with a transmitter and receiver or separately, the transmitter and receiver allow you to add 4K HDR wireless video to your production easily, eliminating wires running from camera to monitors, up to 500' away without needing extensive cable runs or HDMI signal repeaters. Each Spark 4K transmitter can simultaneously multicast to two Spark 4K receivers, transmitting 4K HDR 10-bit 4:2:2 video for high-quality video at video village, directors monitor, or on-set editorial/VFX monitoring.
The Spark 4K takes advantage of the license-free 5 GHz band, which helps it overcome line-of-sight obstruction issues, and it uses smart frequency hopping to find and use clear channels for you automatically, so you can concentrate on your production and not on the technical details of transmitting video. The HDMI connection enables using HDMI monitors, and the Spark 4K transmits up to 4K30 video using Teradek’s own Joint Source Channel Source Coding that transmits high-quality video with zero-delay (0.001/sec) in transmission. The transmitter and receiver feature internal antennas, and each unit features an OLED display for status and troubleshooting. The transmitter features an integrated battery with charging from a barrel connector or USB Type-C for ease of charging.
