0Share

Z CAM has introduced three new accessories to add professional monitoring, visual, and connectivity options to its cinema camera lineup. These expansions include the EVF electronic viewfinder for all Z CAM cameras, an enhanced TurboMount EF lens adapter to adapt EF lenses to your Z CAM E2-M4 and E2-S6, and an HDMI-SDI video converter to output a variety of video formats.

Adding the compact EVF to your camera provides a crisp, clear 2.89" display with 1440 x 1440 resolution, a comfortable eye cup, and highly adjustable settings. It supports video input with 10-bit color up to 1080p60 with its SDI input, as well as up to UHD 4K30 resolution with the HDMI input. You can also input custom LUTs appropriate to your camera profile using the USB input, and it even supports HDR over a 5G wireless connection. Its built-in monitoring features include zebra, waveform, histogram, vectorscope, and more. The EVF mounts on the camera using a rosette with a 1/4"-20 thread that can rotate 360° for the best position. It is powered via the camera or external source using a 2-pin LEMO-type connector.

The TurboMount adapter allows you to mount EF-mount lenses for use with your Z CAM E2-M4 or E2-S6 cinema camera, which would have come with a factory MFT mount, or it can replace the EF mount on your camera to expand its functionality. The adapter not only lets you use professional EF-mount lenses with your camera, but it also provides an additional stop of exposure and it widens the camera's field of view by 0.71x.

Finally, the HDMI-SDI converter provides cross-conversion for your camera video output so you can use a variety of monitors, switches, or recorders to output video. The converter features one HDMI input, as well as one HDMI loop output, and it features one 3G-SDI output so you can convert HDMI video output from the camera to a 3G-SDI destination. The converter is powered using a 6.8 to 17.8 VDC adapter.
