Used Department Return & Warranty

B&H carries an extensive inventory of pre-owned photo, video, and audio equipment. You can purchase used items online, by phone, or at our New York SuperStore.

Every used item we carry is rigorously inspected and tested before being put up for resale. All equipment is guaranteed to work, regardless of its cosmetic condition. Used audio, digital photo, and video (excluding video heads) equipment have a 30-day Parts and Labor warranty. Used film photo equipment has a 90-day Parts and Labor warranty from date of purchase.

Return Policy

At B&H, our goal is to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase. If, for whatever reason, you are dissatisfied with your purchase, you can return it to us within 30 days of purchase date (after receiving an RMA). Claims for damaged or missing items must be received within two business days of receipt of merchandise. All returned merchandise must be in the same condition as sold, with all included accessories. If they are not, B&H reserves the right to refuse the return or to charge a restocking fee of 15%.

You have the option of exchanging the item(s) or receiving a refund for the full amount of the original purchase price within the allowed return period. Refunds on returned items will be issued in the same payment form as tendered at the time of purchase. If payment was made by credit card, once we receive the product we will credit your account. Please allow 7-10 days for a credit to appear on your credit card statement. If payment was made by check, the refund check will be issued after 10 business days from the date of purchase.

How to Return or Exchange a Used Item:

  1. Call our Customer Service Department at 800-963-2525 (212-239-7534 within NYC) or email usedcs@bhphotovideo.com to obtain an RMA number.
  2. Place the original package into a shipping carton. Include the invoice and the reason for the return. If defective, please specify the defect.
  3. If you received a label in an email, print the label and tape it to the carton. If not, clearly write the RMA number on the outer box.
  4. Ship via insured ground service with a tracking number. (Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and B&H is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.)
