Fabulous charger for location work

This charger is great when you need to charge up your B1x batteries in the middle of a shoot. I wouldn't recommend it for daily charging b/c faster charging = more heat and more heat = lower battery life. But it's great when you need the speed. I always pack it in my location kit.

Does charging the battery at a higher current (4.5A vs 2.8A) shorten the battery's life?
We have not used the slower chargers or had the batteries long enough to notice any difference. Our friends at the battery store said it shouldn't matter. If the batteries tend to get hot when charging, this could be a factor that may shorten the life span.The soft cases that may come with the B1's and D1's are a different story. If you actually use them, it will shorten the life span of the back pack and case. Zippers and function/design are poor. Falling apart after 3 months.

Can this be used with the B2?
B&H has this listed under the recommended accessories for the B2, but Profoto's website says that this fast charger should not be used with the B2. Stick with the regular 2.8A charger for B2 according to Profoto.
