The Samsung GX-SM530CF Smart Media Player can be used as a replacement for your current cable box. This little box not only brings live TV content, but also all the Smart TV apps that Samsung provides. In essence it can turn your TV into a Smart TV and have access to over 100 Smart apps like Amazon Instant Video, Netflix, Vudu, and YouTube. You simply rent a cable card from your cable provider and you can kiss your old cable box goodbye. The one caveat is that the GX-SM530CF does not act as a DVR yet.
