A unique wide-angle prime for Nikon F-mount DSLRs, this Distagon T* 15mm f/2.8 ZF.2 Lens from ZEISS is a modified version of the lens without the built-in lens hood. Aside from this distinction, this lens retains the design traits of the original lens, including the use of a Distagon optical concept to control distortion and produce sharp, clean imagery with a dynamic perspective. A floating elements system is employed for consistent performance throughout the aperture range while anomalous partial dispersion glass and two aspherical elements are featured to control chromatic and spherical aberrations for increased clarity and sharpness. For minimizing flare and ghosting, a ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating has been applied to benefit working in difficult lighting conditions.
Its manual focus design is complemented by a durable all-metal housing, and both focus distance and depth of field scales are engraved on the barrel to enable faster, more intuitive focusing control.
