Fiilex P360 overview

  • 1Description

Ideal for on camera video work, the P360 LED Light from Fiilex has a variable color temperature of 3,000-5,600K and a high CRI (Color Rendering Index) rating of 90-95. The P360 employs a 50-diode Dense Matrix LED array that could fit on a dime and renders a bright flicker-free output with a beam angle of 65 degrees.

At only 1.6 lb with a 4" diameter form factor, the P360 is an ideal location light that can be powered by the included 100-240 VAC power adapter or by optional 12-28 VDC batteries. Whatever way you power it, you'll appreciate the low power draw which translates to low running costs and long running times. Besides the AC adapter, the P360 ships with a DC adapter and a set of four-way barndoors.

Full Spectrum Color Tuning
The P360 has the ability to smoothly tune the spectrum of light producing any color temperature of white light with a high CRI of 90-95
Ultra Efficient Light Source
The P360 draws only 90W, a fraction of comparable tungsten light sources. The LED source can last 10 to 15 years
Compact, Lightweight, Ideal for Travel
Weighing in at 1.6 lb, the P360 is one of the lightest and most powerful light sources out there. The 12-28 VDC power input allows the P360 to be used with all major battery brands within the motion picture industry

    Fiilex P360 reviews

P360 LED Light is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from small but bright I have several Ikan LED lights with are really broad and needed to have something to maybe add a spot/slash in the background. This is a nice addition. It is a little smaller than a coffee can and fairly light. While not blinding, it puts out a decent amount of light, especially for it's size. Using the barn doors, you can put a nice little slash on the background. The fan is quiet, I haven't picked it up in my audio yet, but if I did, I would just flag it off.It is nice to be able to adjust the color and intensity. My color meter says the light maxes out about 5000K not the 5600 they claim.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect light for any location! I shoot Architecture and Interiors and this light is perfect. I've used in on Residential shoots and Commercial shoots with great success. Before I had to have strobes for residential and hot lights for Commercial, now I bring one set of lights and get a color balanced light that reproduces great color. They are a little weak in brighter situations and when you add light modifiers. But overall a great light, well constructed and durable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its all true... its great! Use it for video. The color is wonderful. There is no funky spike in the magenta or green spectrum like some cheap Chinese lights. (no offense to the Chinese, I love their food...). The ability to control the color is great! Workmanship is wonderful, attachments (barn doors, fresnel lens, the diffuser) snaps on so quickly and easily. It is a tad too weak to fight with natural window light, especially if you use any modifiers with it. But you can't expect that with a unit that weighs as much as your zoom lens. The fan is super quiet, no worries if you're using proper mics (lav or shotgun on the subject).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks great, sounds....not great I had planned to use this light as a replacement for my 150 - 300w tungsten fresnels, and stricly visually speaking, it does that. Beautiful color fidelity, good amount of output, very small form factor. Reminded me of an LTM 420w Pepper. However it suffers from two drawbacks, one minor, one major. The minor is that it doesn't have a manual spot/flood control on the light, you attach a fresnel projector of sorts to tighten up the beam angle. So you basically only have one wide beam and one narrow(ish) one, but not a total dealbreaker. What is a dealbreaker is the noise the fan emits. It's not glaringly obvious, but it is definitely there, and can easily be heard by ear and mic when a set is quiet except for dialouge/presentor/interviewee, and if you use multiples of these lights it will only be worse. The manufacturer says it's barely noticable but I put one in the far corner of my basement, went up six stairs and I could still (faintly) hear it from about 25' away facing away from the fan. Further testing with a shotgun mic revealed the sound as well. If you're using it in settings where ambient noise isn't critical, like ENG, run and gun work, music videos, (and obviously MOS!) it will be great, otherwise, it might be more trouble than it's worth. Shame too, because the light quality is excellent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flexible LED Fresnel Purchased this to use as a backlight for 3 point lighting interviews. The variable color temperature is extremely handy. Very nice quality of light. The dome diffuser accessory creates a surprisingly soft light, and I also got the fresnel lens that creates a more focused, hard light. It's not nearly as bright as the Astra 1x1 that serves as my key light, but it's a great compliment to it. Basically replaces a traditional Arri 350 Tungsten, but without the heat and with variable color temp!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs a big punch I got it for use as a back light in video interviews. It performs as advertised. I have it on a C stand with extension arm. The controls are easy to use and adjustments stay put. The light quality is very good. I use the fresnel attachment if I want a 30 beam instead of 50 and dim appropriately. The barn doors work very well and it is nice to have four flaps BUT I find the unit slides out too easily if the lamp gets tipped off of the horizontal. I am looking for a solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent LED Light! Usage: Product photography and video Used with: Kino Flo Diva 200 fluorescent, Nikon D7000, Panasonic GH3 With this LED light it is easy to match the color temperature and brightness of my Kino Flo's. The barn doors and diffuser make it easy to get the quality of light I need, right where I need it. The diffuser attaches magnetically, which is a nice touch. The light output is impressive for the size and weight, and the quality of the light is much like a fresnel instrument. It does NOT have the bare-bulb harshness of other LED lights I own or have evaluated and the color spectrum is quite good - doesn't give images a color cast. The light is fan-cooled and Very Quiet during opereation. The overall design and build quality is excellent.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Light The only reason this doesn't get a 5 is that it lacks a focus nob BUT that's what the Fresnel Lens attachment is for. Without the softbox the light produces enough output to compete with a 1x1 light panel. The variable color and high CRI make all the difference. This acts as a fresnel lighting unit which means you can shape and mold the output with the barn doors (they aren't just for show). It doesn't produce picket fence look of panel style LED lights but rather produces nice shadows with wrap similar to a fresnel unit.
