Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for value You get what you bargained for, no exception here. This ring is usable, but really....nothing stellar. The build quality is decent(I have owned worse) and the finish is okay. The main problem is that the threads are made too long so on some lenses the ring cannot be screwed all the way down to ensure a proper engagement; I am not sure how this might affect use but it does not make me very comfortable. Otherthan that quite acceptable, you can pay more for branded rings which are much better made, but the additional money you give only gain very marginal increase in performance. Buy at youw own discretion.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad Threads Worthless. I purchased 4 General Brand step-up and step-down rings here at B&H, all of which were branded BOWER, and all of then are terrible. These DO NOT FIT Nikon lens threads. It is like putting a square peg in a round hole. You will not like these on Nikon lenses. Buy something else. I would encourage B&W to find some other brand for their 'General Brand', because I know of some out there that are just as cheap that fit perfectly. I would not buy anything else again with the BOWER brand name, and I will be reluctant to purchase anything called General Brand on B&H again based on these. These are a total waste of money. I am having to replace them with something else that actually fits.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 52-72mm ring Attaches your 52mm lens thread to a 72mm filter in one step. Better than needing 2 or more rings as it is less of a pain and takes vignetting and a possible light leak out of the situation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the Trick I've been able to use this step-up ring for a few weeks now and I am satisfied with it. It feels like it's constructed out of metal, and fits well with any filter I've attached so far. On occasion the thread doesn't seem to catch onto the lens properly, but I've never been concerned that it would fall off. All in all, it does the trick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Medium quality/ very useful Construction is 3-4 stars. It is acceptable. Very useful/functional to have. I saw no problems with the ring. I buy most of my filters larger so they are more versatile with all my lenses. Step up rings are a must to save money rather than buying tons of filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What no instruction manual? When you pay good money for an item you at least expect it to come with batteries, but no, and no instruction manual, so I wouldn't know where to put the batteries, if they were there. Otherwise it's a perfect little 5 Star (52mm-72mm Step-Up Ring).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Used this step ring to attach my 72mm B+W ND filter to a Canon 50mm 1.8 mkI on a 5D mkII. Great for outdoor video, even on a Glidecam. I took the filter on and off many times to switch lenses. Threads do not stick. Metal construction.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as expected, be careful The ring does its job nicely, The first one I bought got bent because of careless packing on the bag (my fault, not the product's) Thread it carefully and it will last indefinitely.
