The Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Fuji X Mount is a wide-angle lens optimized for digital cinematography. The lens produces an image circle that will cover APS-C sized sensors or smaller. For use with a follow focus unit, the focus and aperture rings feature industry-standard 0.8 pitch gearing. The aperture ring is also de-clicked to allow for smooth iris pulls while shooting. Focus, aperture, and depth of field markings are on the side of the lens to aid focus pullers, who typically operates on the side of the camera.

Would I benefit by using this just for stills?
there will be no special benefit for stills - if you like the feel of the gears, by all means go for it. It functions the same as the non-cine version of this lens.

Would this be good for stills? Particularly interiors? Or would one be better off with the none Cine 12mm version?
This lens offers good wide angle coverage on an APS-C sensor. This lens can certainly be used for stills applications. If you happen to not need the gearing on the aperture and focus barrel as well as de-clicked aperture, then the non cine version can save you a bit of cash.

How is the image quality for video compared to the photography (ncs cs) version of this lens? The same or different?
Shooting in a higher resolution on the Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Fuji X Mount will render more flaws. The Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Fuji X Mount is not rated beyond 4k, so if you choose to use it for 6k video, you will render the flaws of the lens. Some people call these flaws "character." Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so you will have to determine if you like the look.

question
Will this work well on the a7?
The mount will fit, but this lens is meant for a crop sensor. If you put this on the a7, you will get some mean vignetting. The longer Rokinons will however work well with the a7 line. I would suggest going to a 24mm Rokinon Cine.

question
Only comparing picture quality (when the aperture is wide open or at lets say T4), Is this the right lens or the 16mm cine? is the 16 worth the extra $70.00
Does anyone know if the 12mm t2.2 is true to it's focal length on the sonya6500 because in the description of the lens it says 18mm(35mm) ?

I know this lens is a manual only lens. However, I would like to know if I use it on my Lumix G7 can I still get focus peaking working if I use this lens with it?
I don't have the G7 but focus peaking works in camera. The camera sees hard lines and uses them to determine focus, it had no communication with the lens to do this. Hope that helps! Should work fine.

Is there a crop factor with this lens if used on bmpc4k?
Yes, the Rokinon 12mm T2.2 Cine Lens for Micro Four Thirds Mount would be similar to a
24mm super 35mm equivalent.
